My name is Orlando Ross, and I am a transformative public administrator whose leadership bridges public policy, technology, and economic empowerment to advance New York’s diverse communities.
Rooted in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and proud of my Afro-Caribbean-Latino heritage, I combine a passion for equity with data-driven problem-solving and strategic innovation. Holding both a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Long Island University, I bring over a decade of experience leading initiatives across government, nonprofit, and higher education sectors.
As a Congressional District Representative, I have spearheaded impactful programs in small business development, STEM education, and digital equity, connecting more than 700,000 constituents to federal resources and community partnerships.
My collaborative and transparent leadership fosters unity among policymakers, business leaders, and civic institutions to deliver measurable community outcomes. As a trusted advisor, mentor, and advocate with the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) Brooklyn, I continue to champion inclusive economic growth, technology access, and professional advancement for Black and Latino public administrators—reflecting a commitment to visionary leadership and purposeful public service.
